![]() A Pair of Late Regency CarversThe shellac coating over the gilding on the arm supports had darkened with age. This was consealing much of the detail and lustre of the gilding. The shellac was carefully removed and the carving cleaned. The upholstery was recovered. | ![]() A Gainsborough ChairThe frame had been stripped of upholstery and shellac varnish. The frame was prepared and french polished in the traditional manner.
