We specialize in the traditional upholstery of antique furniture. We maintain the traditions and techniques of upholstery which evolved over the last four centuries.

When restoring upholstered antique furniture we use tacks or staples – which ever is more appropriate. Horsehair and Coconut fiber (sometime straw, wool or cotton) is used instead of foam. Springs are sewn in by hand.

Our customers can be sure that we research every job and revert to our extensive experience in order to give each piece the appropriate upholstery. Shapes and styles changed over time and vary according to country of origin.

We not only have extensive experience with English antiques but also with French and German furniture – these are always upholstered in traditionally French/German techniques and materials (which differ greatly from English methods).
